About Our Class
Welcome to a new year at Martinez Elementary School! I am excited to get to know you and your child this school year. First grade is a year to explore and introduce the building blocks of math and reading. We will learn to sound out words and develop a LOVE for reading. We will learn to count, read, and write whole numbers exceeding 100 and so much more! We will dive into STEM, Social Studies, and Writing. 1st grade will be a year to remember!
About me
Hi! My name is Amber Quattlebaum. I am so excited to be your 1st grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This will be my 11th year teaching. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. 1st grade is my favorite! My husband and I live in Evans with our son, Axel and our dog, Opie. I am excited to make this the best school year yet!
Education
In 2009, I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. In 2011, I earned my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Augusta University.
